Long-Awaited Return (Not)

Y'know, the only reason I'm going to start posting again is because I want to. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, plus I kind of enjoy the fact that no one reads these things anymore (correct me if I'm wrong), so it's kind of like a diary here. But because this is still the Internet, I won't be revealing any deep dark secrets ;) But the question is, what to post on? Ah, the old dilemma. I could always ramble a bit about books (like I never do that anyway). Well, at the moment I'm currently reading "The Musician's Daughter" by Susanne Dunlap. It's about this girl in eighteenth-century Vienna whose father, the concertmaster of Haydn's orchestra, is murdered. His valuable violin is stolen, and Theresa needs to learn what happened to him. It's written beautifully, and I can't help but relish the intimate moments with the violins and violas in the story. It makes me want to dance (and for those of you who know me, not much does).
I've also been considering starting a new story at one point, though I'm not usually very involved in writing. But at the moment, I really want to write something based on Vanessa Carlton's song "White Houses". I am currently addicted to it, and it's got gorgeous lyrics that just make you think. I'll let y'all know if I do start writing it. I usually can't keep a project going, though, so we'll see what happens.
Also, I'm going to change the name of this blog. I don't like the old one. Any suggestions? ;)
On a side note, I am v. depressed because I left my violin at school, and cannot practice.

You've been a lovely audience.
Ali.
